Slavic manicure in Humber Bay Shores, Etobicoke — from $30. A precise combined manicure: an electric file (e-file) for detailed prep, then fine nippers for a perfectly clean cuticle line that still looks tidy weeks later.

What is a Slavic manicure?

It's a detail-focused manicure technique popular across Eastern Europe. I combine two tools:

  • An e-file with fine bits to gently lift and clean the cuticle and the dead skin on the nail plate
  • Sterilised nippers to remove exactly what's left — nothing more

The result:

  • A very clean, crisp line around the cuticle
  • Gel sits closer to the cuticle and grows out neatly
  • Better adhesion, so gel polish and builder gel last longer

Slavic vs. regular salon manicure

  • Cuticle: a regular manicure pushes it back and trims it; a Slavic manicure cleans it with an e-file, then finishes with nippers.
  • Dead skin on the nail plate: often left in a regular manicure; carefully removed in a Slavic one.
  • Time: a regular manicure takes 20–30 minutes; I take up to 2 hours — no rushing.

It's part of every service

Every manicure I do starts with this prep — including gel polish, builder gel, Gel X and extensions. You can also book it on its own:

  • Classic manicure (no colour) — $30, up to 2 hours. Shaping, full cuticle work and nail care. Perfect between gel sets or if you like a clean, natural look.

Is it safe?

When it's done by a trained nail artist, yes. I work gently and never file into healthy skin. Metal tools are cleaned and sterilised in a dry-heat sterilizer after every client.

Questions

Does a Slavic manicure hurt?

No. It shouldn't hurt at all. The e-file and nippers remove only dead skin. If anything feels uncomfortable, tell me and I'll adjust.

What does "combined manicure" mean?

It combines two techniques: e-file prep for precision and nippers for a clean finish. It's more detailed than a regular salon manicure.

How often should I get a Slavic manicure?

Every 3-4 weeks, usually together with your gel or builder gel appointment.

Is the $30 manicure with colour?

No, the $30 manicure is without colour. With gel polish it's $40, with builder gel it's $60.
